SkyDrive for iPhone - Microsoft wants to conquer the App Store? - Dobreprogramy

yesterday’s edition of OneNote for iPad and iPhone App Store today there are more applications, Microsoft’s official client SkyDrive and Kinectimals game known for its Xbox 360

About 24 hours have passed since the emergence of the Polish App Microsoft’s official application store for creating and editing notes in OneNote, and their synchronization with SkyDrive service, the cloud’s free. As you can see, Microsoft has not said the last word and has already issued a subsequent application for Apple devices. The most interesting is undoubtedly SkyDrive client for iPhone that allows you to access files stored on servers in the cloud. It is possible to preview files in most popular formats, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF, but for now, unfortunately editing is not available directly in the application.

It might seem that it’s great, I just download the file on the phone and edit in any editor – for instance Pages for text files. Unfortunately, Microsoft did not foresee such a function. The only thing we can do with a file in the cloud is for someone to generate an email with a link to Office Web Apps (ie, share the document on the outside, because the edition of the Office Web Apps on iOS available) or … remove from our SkyDrive account. Marginally better with the addition of new files. Like OneNote, and here also we can send it to SkyDrive photo saved on your phone. It is hard to resist the impression that SkyDrive for users of Apple devices in the storage and editing of documents is as limited as icloud and its mobile iWork – though perhaps therein lies the problem?

Tempo add more applications to App Microsoft Store is impressive, but before they are actually useful for something, you will probably have to wait a little longer. Much better in this field presents a second application released today, and actually plays: Kinectimals. It is based on the game with the same title already available for the Xbox 360 with Kinect and allows for a completely independent or fun (if you do not have an Xbox), or to continue the entertainment console after leaving the house. Th e game itself is to take in and play with a virtual pet and, admittedly, is quite pleasing to the eye. The application is designed for the iPhone and the iPad, but unfortunately is not free – costs 2.39 euros.
