iPhone 4S is a nice problem with too rapid discharging of the battery. Suspect in this case can be geo-location service, which operates non-stop with auto-update enabled zone.
The Guardian first noticed the problem, and now the newspaper gives the probable cause of short battery life on iPhone 4S. The error in the software is trying to determine the permanent location using GPSa, Wi-Fi signal from the mast with the option updates the time zone in which we find ourselves. Reportedly disabling this feature will drastically improve battery life.
The case is so strange that the error occurs only on iPhone 4S, and not all devices with iOS 5, the system, which introduced the option to automatically update the time zone. It may therefore find that the error lies elsewhere. Apple is already working on improving the situation.
